Members of the Tiki Community, including developers, end-users, advocates, will be meeting in the Big Apple from October 3-6, 2010. This TikiFest will be the last major gathering before the release of Tiki 6.
The TikiFest, a long-standing tradition of the Tiki Community, is a chance for community members (who do not normally meet) to get together, socialize, and further the development of Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware. More than 40 of these “code sprints” have been held throughout the world.
In addition to preparing for the upcoming Tiki 6 release, TikiFest New York will also planning for Tiki 7, celebrating Tiki’s 8th birthday, and an open demonstration hosted by Casa Frela Gallery (details below).
Several Tiki Community members also plan to participate in Ignite Web 2.0 Expo NY (http://www.web2expo.com/webexny2010/public/schedule/detail/15524) and Open Video (http://www.openvideoconference.org/), both of which take place in New York during the TikiFest.
Lawrence Rodriguez, owner of Casa Frela Gallery, and the entire Tiki Community, invite you to a demonstration of the latest version of Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware on Tuesday, October 5th from 7:30PM to 9:00PM.
This demonstration, which is free to anyone interested in developing websites, is part of the “TikiFest” which runs from October 3 – 6. After the demonstration, stay to enjoy drinks and socializing with the Tiki developers.
Casa Frela Gallery is located at 47 West 119th Street (between Lenox Avenue and Fifth Avenue) in Manhattan, New York.
