Blue River Interactive Group today announced the launch of Mura Cloud, a new cloud-based offering that makes hosting Mura CMS, its popular open-source CFML content management system, fast, simple and affordable in the cloud.
Mura Cloud, built on technology from Standing Cloud, a leading provider of cloud application marketplace and management solutions for cloud providers and ISVs, brings choice, flexibility and easy point-and-click deployment and management to Mura CMS, delivering single-click managed hosting, provisioning, deployment and management at a simple monthly bundled price.
With Mura Cloud, customers can choose the cloud provider, data center and geography of their choice from a wide range of leading public cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (including AWS GovCloud), HP Cloud, Rackspace, VPS.net and more. Mura CMS deployments hosted through MuraCloud on Standing Cloud are completely portable from cloud-to-cloud, meaning users are never locked in to a single platform or cloud provider. They can quickly add capacity or move to another cloud, and are protected against downtime and service outages.
In addition, Standing Cloud’s built-in automated application lifecycle management features provide easy point-and-click access to a range of automated management services, including monitoring and backups, version upgrades, resource scaling and more.
“Making it easy to launch and host fully configured instances of Mura CMS in the cloud and manage them directly is a great value-add for their users, and we’re excited to enable this for them,” said Joni Klippert, Director of Customer Development for Standing Cloud. “By reducing the hassles of downloading software and configuring servers, and adding the choice, flexibility and reliability of multiple clouds, we can help them grow their customer base among organizations, enterprises and small business users in the cloud.”
“We developed Mura CMS with the goal of making it simple to publish web content quickly and easily, and now Mura Cloud takes it to a whole new level, delivering instant hosting and management in just a few clicks,” said Sean Schroeder, one of the lead developers of Mura CMS and partner at Blue River Interactive Group. “Enabling our users to choose from more than 15 leading cloud providers from a single interface is a key benefit and unique advantage for Standing Cloud, and we’re excited to be working with them.”
Mura Cloud is available today at www.muracloud.com. Enterprise, government and small business users interested in evaluating the solution can get started immediately with a no-cost, two-hour hosted “Test Drive” in the cloud on any one of the 15+ supported cloud providers.
