The end of June marked one of the most impressive milestones to date for the world's most popular blog platform. WordPress is now officially powering over fifty million websites.

What an achievement for creator Matt Mullenweg and his team of developers. The adoption of the platform has been steadily increasing as blogs have grown in popularity and authority and it's not expected to slow down anytime soon. With the recent release of their 3.2 version, WordPress continues to drive innovation on the web.

Overall, the system has matured from what was once just considered a blog platform, to a full fledged CMS capable of powering much more than just your average website.

Congratulations to the WordPress community, we look forward to many more amazing achievements in the years ahead.
