Critic’s Choice for Best Social Network Software is…

My choice for Best Social Networking Software for 2012 (and the one that will be my #1 recommendation in this category until next years awards) is phpFox!

phpFox is a social network software that gives you the ability to create a unique community that includes many of the features found on sites like Facebook and MySpace. You can read more about it in our phpFox Review.

Why did I choose them? They offer response technical support, the product is well established and has a good base with which to work from, there are a wide variety of customization options and for every person I’ve referred to phpFox, I’ve had not one come back to me complaining that it didn’t suit their needs.

As my choice for this year, when asked to offer suggestions for the best social networking software, I will point to phpFox. They will receive my recommendation from now until next year’s winner is announced. Congratulations!

    I could not agree more!. PHPFOX is the best content management system out there Period!!. Pricing, design, logic, architecture, scalability, simplicity etc. I have used and tried many content management system. But I can tell you that PHPFOX is underrated and seriously under appreciated.
    Many owners and users really do not understand that the PHPFOX platform has a very superior way to upscale and build your own modules, blocks, widgets etc without even writing one line of source code. PHPFPX.com has done themselves a disfavor by marketing their product as a social network platform.
    They should market themselves as a multi-foundation Content management system platform. Because that is just exactly what PHPFOX is. Using PHPFOX one can easily customize and build themselves a fully scalable website for a multitude of purposes, if they only take the time to understand how PHPfox works.
    Just recently using PHPfox Platform, I built for a client a full Hospital Content Management system, that is superior and surpasses all the useless and expensive hospital content management system out there. It took me only three days to sit down and fully understand how to implement PHPFOX modules, controllers, blocks, widgets etc so as to create for my self what I needed to do.
    At first I thought that the back end of PHPFOX was going to overwhelm me. But when i really sat down and looked at logically it made a lot of sense. The strongest point for PHPFOX is the ability to assign multi level user access for almost every object created. One can use PHPfox to build various types of websites without having to have a Computer science Background. As for pricing, PHPFOX is a very reasonably priced CMS.
    CMS’s like Joomla, Drupal, etc, have just become too bulky, too slow, complicated and serious server resources users. I think PHPFOX is a little CMS jemm that needs to revisited and better understood.

    Nice review of the box template social networking software PhpFox.

    I agree that technical support is a very important element when considering using a template system. Even if it is only a message board post support system, when you get stuck with the code and modifications with the software, it is nice to know you can post a comment on their boards and have others answer right away.

    I would love to see a review of custom social networking software companies like our own, megastar media.
